| American roulette, the classic casino game, its popularity stems from easy to follow rules and the excitement that a spin of the wheel can generate!
Chips to play the game are purchased at the table and can only be used on the table at which they were issued and you intend to play. American roulette is unique in that each table has chips specific to that table known as colour chips which can only be used on the table from which they are issued.
The minimum and maximum permissible stake bet will be clearly shown at each individual table. Having decided how much you want to buy in for, place your money on the table and ask for “colour chips”. A £10 note on a table advertising a 50p minimum will leave you with 20 chips to play with.
You may bet on one number or any combinations of numbers, red/black, odd/even, high/low, dozens and columns.
Place your bets before and during the spin, until the Croupier announces, “No more bets”. When the winning number is announced the Croupier will clear the table of losing bets and pay all wagers that have won.
When you decide to stop playing your colour chips should be exchanged for cash value chips. These are then taken to the cash desk and exchanged for cash, or used at any other gaming table.
